Aware Recovery Care is located in Bedford, New Hampshire. It’s a treatment center for alcohol and drug addictions. They generally focus on adults who need detox, medication assisted treatment, and support services in their homes.

Their detox program is called “virtual” and part of it is done online. A nurse will walk through your detox via telehealth, which can take about two hours. They’ll provide counseling and peer support while you remain comfortable at home. The nurse will check in with you on a daily basis. This program generally lasts five to seven days. Once you complete the ambulatory detox phase, you’ll transition into ongoing maintenance care through virtual visits.

Support services basically consist of care that you receive at home while you’re working on your recovery. They’ll provide nurses, social workers, and therapists to your door, either in person or via an online call. However, if you’re meeting through telehealth, you can attend your session from wherever while you’re out and about. You’ll work with therapists in group or individual settings and focus on your emotions, learning new skills, and sharing your experiences. Medical care services may be limited, but medications can be administered to help ease your withdrawal pains if need be so your cravings will lessen. These meds can include Suboxone and naltrexone. The typical program runs for 52 weeks.
