ERC Northbrook’s residential program supports recovery from eating disorders for medically stable adults, adolescents (ages 13–17), and children (ages 8–12) of all genders. Clients receive round-the-clock support, including continuous monitoring and daytime medical and psychiatric care from specialists experienced in treating eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Through individualized treatment plans that combine therapy, medical care, education, and family involvement, ERC helps individuals work toward improved physical and emotional well-being. Grow Through a Personalized and Comprehensive Approach At ERC, clients participate in evidence-based therapies while building practical skills for life beyond treatment. Individual, group, and family therapy sessions allow clients to explore personal challenges, strengthen coping strategies, and connect with peers facing similar struggles. Registered dietitians guide clients through structured and supportive meal planning that promotes balance, flexibility, and a healthier relationship with food. Recover in a Safe and Supportive Environment Situated in a welcoming, family-friendly area, ERC’s residential center provides a calm and nurturing place for healing. Clients stay in comfortable bedrooms, while spaces designed specifically for children and adolescents create a supportive atmosphere for younger patients. A modern teaching kitchen offers hands-on opportunities to learn meal preparation and emotional regulation, and a welcoming café helps clients practice mindful eating in a supportive setting. For families traveling from out of state, nearby apartment accommodations are available. Transition Smoothly with Continued Care Options ERC Northbrook also offers day treatment and intensive outpatient programs within the same campus, creating a smooth step-down process as clients progress in recovery. Day treatment programs run five to seven days per week and allow clients to practice new skills in everyday settings. Intensive outpatient care is available three times a week, providing flexibility for clients to continue school, work, or family responsibilities while still receiving therapy, nutritional counseling, and supported meals.
