Haymarket Center, founded in 1975, is a Chicago-based nonprofit committed to supporting individuals with substance use disorders throughout their recovery journey. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the organization combines addiction treatment with behavioral health and primary medical care to deliver well-rounded, comprehensive support. Personalized and Inclusive Treatment Options Haymarket Center provides a broad continuum of care, including withdrawal management (detox), residential (inpatient) treatment, outpatient programs, recovery housing, and primary healthcare services. Programs are tailored to meet the needs of diverse populations, including men, women, pregnant and parenting individuals, and those experiencing co-occurring mental health conditions. This individualized approach ensures that each person receives care aligned with their specific circumstances and goals. Accessible Care with Ongoing Support Committed to removing barriers to treatment, Haymarket Center accepts Medicaid and many private insurance plans and offers a sliding fee scale based on income and family size. Services are never denied due to an inability to pay. To further improve access, transportation to the campus is available upon request, reinforcing the center’s dedication to making recovery services attainable and supportive at every stage.
