Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center

Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center delivers inpatient and residential treatment for children and adolescents ages 4 to 18 who are experiencing significant emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric difficulties. Their services include crisis stabilization, acute psychiatric care, and longer-term residential programs. The center also supports youth with co-occurring intellectual disabilities and those with complex trauma histories. Healing Through Connection and Skill-Building Laurel Oaks uses a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach within a structured and supportive setting. Youth participate in individual, group, and family therapy, along with psychoeducational sessions that focus on social development, communication skills, and emotional wellness. Specialized therapy groups address issues such as grief, trauma, anger management, and self-harm. Treatment also includes medication management, coordinated case planning, and daily goal-setting to help young people strengthen coping skills and work toward long-term stability. Structured Living with Academic Support Residents are placed in age- and gender-specific units with 24/7 supervision and care. Each child or teen attends New Day Academy, the center’s accredited on-site school, which provides both academic instruction and vocational training. Recreational amenities include a gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis court, game room, and outdoor spaces designed for activity and relaxation. Balanced meals are served daily, and the admissions team is available around the clock to assist with referrals, assessments, and travel arrangements as needed.
